About the role:
The person is required to closely collaborate with various stakeholders within foodpanda Malaysia to address analytical needs, encompassing data churn/data support, reporting, dashboarding, and data analysis.
As a Data Analyst, it's crucial to grasp the day-to-day challenges our business encounters, which can be elucidated through data. Your responsibilities include compiling and analyzing data related to business issues and developing clear visualizations to communicate complex data effectively.
The role seeks candidates passionate about data, with a strong willingness to learn as a key attribute.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Assist data team members in supporting all the business stakeholders on data requests.
Directly reports to Lead, Data and senior staff on business requirements and updates.
Support the business in analytical needs across departments and verticals.
Monitor KPIs of the business, identifying causes/trends and drive data-based decision-making through insightful reports.
Extend the knowledge of Data Analytics to provide ongoing refinement of processes to improve operations.
Day-to-day activities:
You will be guided by seniors or team members with SQL and data visualization skills and are expected to utilize those skills to support business stakeholders over time.
Conduct and analyze performance with the support of seniors.
Continuous performance monitoring and analysis.
Collect requirements for projects, and reports with the support of seniors.
Create storyboards/ reports via BI tools/ automation for dashboards, and reports.
Work closely with team members for continuous improvement.
What you need to be successful
Degree in Data Analytics/ Science, Statistics, Engineering, Quantitative field, or any relevant field of study.
Data-driven, advanced Excel skills, proactive, and able to properly cascade requirements to the team
Analytical approach to problem-solving; excellent analytical skills is preferred
Willing to learn about new concepts and methodologies in this constantly evolving industry
Critical thinking skills and the ability to spot, assess, and suggest solutions to problems.
A self-motivated person with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
