About the opportunity

  • Identify potential market opportunities and gaps and develop plans around it
  • Optimize CAPEX and OPEX along with profitability growth

  • Control kitchens’ development cost and timelines

  • Control costs for better vendor experience and retention

  • Grow the revenue drivers including orders, AFV, GMV, RPO and EBITDA 

  • Establish APAC first brick and mortar “The commune” as a successful business model

Essential Functions

  • Work with Director, Commercial & GFS core team in outlining the bigger strategy,  reviewing day-to-day operation processes, identifying problem areas, and developing plans of improvement

  • Develop and implement business strategies and procedures required for an F&B operation, improving the operational efficiency of the kitchens’ business and enhancing the customers’ delivery experience

  • Establish comprehensive business performance and growth targets ensuring that all revenues and costs are within budgeted parameters

  • Responsible for cross-functional strategies with Marketing, Operations, Logistics, and CX teams; Execute the growth plan by being the liaison between functional and business teams, ensuring the business is meeting its growth metrics

  • Optimize the revenue/cost funnel through customer acquisition, retention, and experience while improving the cost drivers

  • Manage end-to-end analysis to establish customer patterns and trends and develop strategies for aggressive market penetration, organic reach and share, and month-on-month order growth

  • Provide direction to the site procurement and operations teams to identify dark zones and cuisine gaps

  • Participate in strategy development and expansion activities including investments, acquisitions and corporate alliances

  • Work with Account Management and Business Development teams to Identify potential Kitchens partners based on GMV, profitability, potential and customer reach

  • Guide commercial teams in leading and negotiating commercial agreements with partners ensuring that business and financial objectives are met

  • Ensure kitchen operations are of a high quality, and are in adherence to food safety regulations, and menus are fully optimized in order to increase transactions and revenue

  • Identify ways to improve the facility's hospitality to create productive workplace environments for both, kitchen support staff and vendors

  • Ensure food and facility safety compliance to avoid unnecessary disturbances that might disrupt the kitchen’s services

  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics and use findings to remove inconsistencies and inefficiencies in operations

  • Take complete ownership of Kitchens’ P&L both local and GFS, and also closely monitor vendor P&L to ensure their growth and profitability

  • Identify opportunities to plan, execute and manage dine-in facilities, ensuring smooth operations and optimum customer experience, taking on board all commercial stakeholders as well as core support functions like marketing. 

 


What you need to be successful

  • Proven experience as a Senior Manager/Head of a vertical or category

  • Knowledge of restaurant and kitchen layouts, equipment output capacities

  • Understanding of business functions such as Commercial, Operations, HR, Finance, Marketing etc.

  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development

  • Experience in managing budgets and understanding financial statements

  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics

  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and business intelligence tools

  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills

  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
