We’re looking for a highly-driven and motivated Lead, Real Estate Management for our team. If you thrive on

The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading infrastructural development projects, involved in
acquisitions and expansions, competent in managing asset health, and adept at team management and
comfortable in diving deep and showing how it is done.

This role will be based in Karachi and will report to the Director Quick Commerce.

About the job:

The successful candidate is to own the network development agenda for the DMART business, plan and
execute multiple projects in tandem in accordance with the timeline, desired outcome and budgets, mitigate risks through proactive management, collaborate extensively with internal local, regional, and external stakeholders, including partners, vendors, government and regulatory bodies.

This role works very closely with senior leadership to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule, as well as other internal stakeholders are aligned for support. Responsibilities:

  • Lead network development agenda for Pakistan, plans activities and projects to expedite business impact while also strengthening foundations and capability required to deliver results in mid to long term.
  • Identify and close gaps in operational control, facilities management, and construction governance.
  • Develop strong foundation for stable day-to-day store operations
  • Develop protocols for faster issue resolution
  • Strategically plan to lower FM and utility costs
  • Own the delivery of the CAPEX budget, prioritise expenditure to support growth, compliance and safety.
  • Clear ownership of Dmart assets, processes, and governance
  • Business continuity through reduced downtime and faster incident response
  • Compliance across food safety, H&S, statutory inspections, and refrigeration
  • Audit-ready documentation aligned with legal and internal standards
  • FM OPEX budgeting and forecasting for the Dmart portfolio
  • Robust invoice validation and prevention of cost leakage
  • Enforcement of FM vendor SLAs
  • Execution of energy-saving measures at store level
  • Supporting IoT / temperature-monitoring rollout
  • Closely managing and driving projects, roadmaps, milestones, timeline and achievements
  • Monitoring project KPIs, building and managing project dashboard to help evolve and define project vision and strategy coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Working closely with other departments to achieve best possible outcomes
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project
  • Achieving business goals ,sales and revenue targets. Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives. Recruiting, training, and supporting managers.

What you need to be successful

  • At least 8 years of experience in project management, facility management, network development.
  • Highly knowledgeable in best practices for design, building/construction, maintenance, and real estate asset management/warehouses or darkstores.
  • Strong technical knowledge in safety & standards, engineer codes, building permits for new sites etc.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple work streams in parallel, forecast risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, plan for projects, manage resources and priorities
  • High-energy with sound business acumen
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment in cross functional and cross-cultural teams
  • Adaptability to change
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Subject matter expert in creating safe and compliant operations.
  • Is able to inspire internal and external teams to deliver at speed while ensuring high standards in
  • execution.
  • Prior experience of leading network development in a Retail environment will be a strong plus.

Ability to travel 50% of the time
