About the opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Coordination:
o Assist in daily inbound and outbound operations, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch
of FMCG products.
o Oversee the coordination with the 3PL partner to ensure smooth warehouse
operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping.
o Monitor stock levels and ensure correct storage practices are followed.
2. Inventory Management:
o Assist in inventory control processes, ensuring accurate stock counts and reporting
any discrepancies to the Manager.
o Collaborate with the team to minimize stock shrinkage and maintain an optimal
inventory level.
o Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits with the 3PL partner.
3. Quality Control:
o Ensure that all FMCG products are handled in compliance with quality standards and
best practices.
o Conduct periodic inspections of the warehouse to ensure products are stored
properly and meet quality standards.
o Communicate any quality issues with the 3PL partner and escalate critical matters to
the Manager.
4. Process Support:
o Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance operational
efficiency and reduce delays.
o Assist in documenting SOPs and work instructions to maintain consistent
performance in operations.
o Suggest improvements based on daily observations of the operation and feedback
from the 3PL partner.
5. 3PL Liaison:
o Act as the point of contact between the company and the 3PL service provider,
facilitating smooth communication.
o Monitor 3PL performance, ensuring compliance with agreed KPIs and timelines.
o Report operational issues or challenges from the 3PL to the Manager and support the
resolution process.
6. Health & Safety Compliance:
o Ensure all activities in the DC adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
o Conduct routine checks to ensure the 3PL is complying with safety standards.
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or a similar role in the FMCG sector.
- Experience coordinating with 3PL providers is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Good communication and coordination abilities, especially with external vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
