Job description


About the opportunity

  • Managing cases: Handle employee relations cases end to end, including disciplinary and grievance investigations, and other related matters spanning low to high-risk complexity. 

  • Providing advice and guidance: Combine employment law expertise with policy knowledge to identify gaps and recommend improvements; work with legal, HR, and other stakeholders while utilising employee feedback to drive continuous improvement

  • Performance and negotiated exits: Partner with managers and People Partners to support and manage low-performer cases, facilitate settlement agreements.

  • Developing relationships: Build trust and confidence with both managers and employees, provide support and guidance through formal processes and build strong relationships with other stakeholders (legal/external counsel, Compliance team and people partners)

  • Documentation and Case Management: Maintain high standards of case management, prepare high-quality action plans, letters of communication, and investigation reports. 

  • Reporting and Data Driven Actions: Develop dashboards, analyze ER metrics to identify trends, reports insights to leadership, and implements targeted solutions through strategic action plans

  • Coaching and mentoring: Coach managers through relevant procedures and help them develop their capacity to handle ER matters; develop and implement training programs for managers and employees on ER topics

  • Promoting positive work environment & culture: Contribute to a positive and productive workplace by addressing issues fairly and transparently. 


What you need to be successful

  • 5+ years of experience in complex employee relations case management role

  • Knowledge of APAC employment laws - A strong understanding of employment law and best practices in employee relations

  • Strong communication skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with managers, employees, and other stakeholders.

  • Problem solving skills - The ability to identify and resolve complex problems effectively, highly analytical and data driven. 

  • Planning & organizational skills - Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage the workload.

  • Interpersonal skills - Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with diverse groups of people. 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or equivalent
