Job description
As a (Senior) Specialist, Payments Operations, you will be responsible for optimizing and improving the overall user payments experience across various markets for all our offerings (food delivery, quick commerce, subscription etc.), with a strong focus on ensuring seamless acceptance and success across all payment methods, including emerging payment channels. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive performance improvements, ensure effective issue resolution, and maintain alignment with regional strategies.
Optimize Payment Performance: Identify and drive improvements in key metrics like Authorization Rate, Success Rate, and Conversion Rate across all channels, including subscriptions.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a central point of coordination between regional teams, central teams, and external partners to align on strategy and ensure successful delivery.
Operational Oversight: Support regional payment operations by promoting best practices and consistent execution, without direct ownership of execution tasks.
Integrations & Rollouts: Coordinate new payment method launches and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Issue Management: Proactively monitor and resolve payment issues to minimize disruptions and maintain high system performance.
Data & Strategy: Use data insights and market benchmarking to inform decisions, prioritize impactful initiatives, and ensure competitive, customer-focused payment experiences.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in payments, with a strong emphasis on payment acceptance, payment operations, or PSP integrations.
Technical Understanding: Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including payment authorization processes, payment methods, and operational flows related to online payments.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work across regions and teams, collaborating with technical, product, and business teams to deliver high-impact initiatives.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to analyze and resolve complex payment issues, often requiring collaboration with external partners and internal stakeholders.
Market Awareness: Understanding of global and regional payment trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices, especially in high-growth markets.
