About the Role:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to be based in Bangsar South. This role will be reporting to Senior Manager, Demand Planning in the Dmart Department. The department generally is responsible for ensuring a strong supply chain is maintained for our Dark Stores which includes Demand/Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Expiry management, DC Management, Supplier Management and not forgetting Cost Efficiency as well.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage DC’s cross-dock activity
Manage store/supplier inquiries on inbounding / outbound allowing a smooth supply chain
Develop the demand forecast for the business unit, based on statistical forecast and sales & marketing activities (promotions, phase in/phase out, new launches, discontinuations). Challenge the forecast as needed
Analyze and highlight business risks and opportunities to stakeholders and jointly propose appropriate mitigation plans
Create long-term demand forecast, taking into account fluctuations (e.g. promotional activities, seasonality)
People Development:
Grow talent in ensuring managed team members are strong in both external and internal management (Talent Growth)
Proactively drive discussions with stakeholders & Supply Chain Lead on cost-saving initiatives (Stakeholder Management)
Leading forecast discussions with suppliers to allow stable supply to Dark Stores (Strategic Planning)
At least 4-5 years work-related experience in demand planning management
Strong leadership skills and have experience leading a team
Experience with FMCG/grocery retailers is a plus
Experience in supply chain planning, implementation, and end-to-end supply chain management(e.g., scheduling, warehousing, fulfillment, reverse logistics)
Experience managing collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment processes with retailers (managing regional sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out demand forecasting and inventory allocation throughout product life cycle)
Key/Core Competencies
Analytical mind and business acumen with ability to work with large amounts of data to discover patterns and trends and to form conclusions based on findings. Must be extremely detailed oriented (Analytical/ Business Acumen/ Attention to Detail)
Ability to manage complexity and be comfortable with ambiguity (Managing Ambiguity)
Good communication and presentation skills
Good in Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills (Organizational Skills)
