About the opportunity

This role encompasses two core responsibilities: Commercial Leadership and Country General Management.

Commercial Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to accelerate growth, expand market share, and ensure sustainable profitability for the CLM cluster

  • Oversee all commercial functions, including sales strategy, onboarding, expansion, partner care, and account management, driving initiatives to grow market share, order volume, and customer base.

  • Establish and maintain a competitive pricing policy and develop business solutions to achieve profitability.

  • Lead commercial performance management, including setting sales targets and metrics, monitoring activities using key metrics (e.g., SQL), and providing regular forecasts and financial reports to senior management.

  • Manage commercial financial performance, assisting in setting targets, budget development, and monitoring for profitable outcomes.

Country General Management

  • Full P&L ownership and accountability for the Cambodia cluster, driving overall financial performance, managing costs, and optimizing revenue streams to achieve profitability targets.

  • Lead and scale high-performing cross-functional teams across Cambodia, fostering a strong culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration throughout the organization.

  • Oversee overall country operations and performance, ensuring all local functions (including but not limited to commercial, operations, and support teams) are aligned, efficient, and contribute to the country's strategic objectives.

  • Drive local market adaptation, translating regional strategies into effective in-country plans that consider Cambodia's unique environment and consumer needs.

  • Cultivate and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, partners, and vendors, while ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination.

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant local laws, regulations, and company policies across all country operations, while maintaining high service levels and operational quality.


What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor / master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related quantitative field (A Master's degree, e.g., MBA, is highly preferred).
  • Highly analytical with exceptional data management skills, coupled with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven track record managing complex, matrix organizations with people management experience leading and scaling similar sized teams (e.g., 30+ indirect reports) in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive P&L performance and make data-driven decisions that impact bottom-line results.
  • A background in management consultancy would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience in the food delivery or e-commerce industry would be highly advantageous.
  • MUST: Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • MUST: Very good understanding of the Cambodian market, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances.
  • MUST: Strong understanding and relationship-building experience with local business partners and government stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly evolving startup or tech environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build consensus across various internal and external stakeholders.
