This role encompasses two core responsibilities: Commercial Leadership and Country General Management.
Commercial Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies to accelerate growth, expand market share, and ensure sustainable profitability for the CLM cluster
Oversee all commercial functions, including sales strategy, onboarding, expansion, partner care, and account management, driving initiatives to grow market share, order volume, and customer base.
Establish and maintain a competitive pricing policy and develop business solutions to achieve profitability.
Lead commercial performance management, including setting sales targets and metrics, monitoring activities using key metrics (e.g., SQL), and providing regular forecasts and financial reports to senior management.
Manage commercial financial performance, assisting in setting targets, budget development, and monitoring for profitable outcomes.
Country General Management
Full P&L ownership and accountability for the Cambodia cluster, driving overall financial performance, managing costs, and optimizing revenue streams to achieve profitability targets.
Lead and scale high-performing cross-functional teams across Cambodia, fostering a strong culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration throughout the organization.
Oversee overall country operations and performance, ensuring all local functions (including but not limited to commercial, operations, and support teams) are aligned, efficient, and contribute to the country's strategic objectives.
Drive local market adaptation, translating regional strategies into effective in-country plans that consider Cambodia's unique environment and consumer needs.
Cultivate and manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, partners, and vendors, while ensuring seamless cross-functional coordination.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant local laws, regulations, and company policies across all country operations, while maintaining high service levels and operational quality.
What you need to be successful
Bachelor / master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Management, or a related quantitative field (A Master's degree, e.g., MBA, is highly preferred).
Highly analytical with exceptional data management skills, coupled with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
Proven track record managing complex, matrix organizations with people management experience leading and scaling similar sized teams (e.g., 30+ indirect reports) in dynamic environments.
Demonstrated ability to drive P&L performance and make data-driven decisions that impact bottom-line results.
A background in management consultancy would be highly advantageous.
Experience in the food delivery or e-commerce industry would be highly advantageous.
MUST: Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
MUST: Very good understanding of the Cambodian market, regulatory environment, and cultural nuances.
MUST: Strong understanding and relationship-building experience with local business partners and government stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly evolving startup or tech environment.
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build consensus across various internal and external stakeholders.
